Anniversary exhibition Kometen at the Kunstmuseum Celle

In 2025, the Kunstmuseum Celle and the Robert Simon Collection will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its founding with the light art exhibition Kometen. On display are works by visionaries, pioneers, luminaries, and trailblazers of light art with national and international appeal. They look ahead to the potential, spheres of influence, and future development opportunities of light art and the art museum as a place where it can be experienced.
Not only existing works are on display, but also light spaces designed in close cooperation with the participating artists - including names such as Otto Piene, Philipp Geist, and Regine Schumann - offering new perspectives on their respective positions. The exhibition takes place on all floors of the museum, indoors and outdoors, day and night, with light radiating as far as the light art station in Celle. Mischa Kuball complements the exhibition with his installation of the Licht-Raum-Modulator from 2024.
