Under the topic of advertising images, the conference Seduction in Pictures - Pictures that Seduce? will take place on October 10 and 11 in the art space of the Gewerbepark Süd.
The conference will focus on the emergence and development of poster art, its presentation in public spaces, and its adaptation as advertisements in magazines. The focus will also be on the use of advertising aesthetics and the medium of poster art. Decollages, mechanisms of seductive art, propaganda, and perception in public and digital spaces will be analyzed and discussed.
The conference will kick off with Mischa Kuball's lecture Illusions and Other Truths.
